Community Liaison, Injury Free Coalition for Kids of
Joseph Strickland is a graduate of the Masters of Social Work Program at the University of Chicago School for Social Service Administration (SSA). During his graduate work he was recognized as an Albert Schweitzer Fellow and a recipient of SSA's Community Service Award. Mr. Strickland prior to coming to IFCK at UChicago was the Founder/Executive Director of a community-based agency that organized low-income residents and the agencies that service this population around removing barriers to affordable housing, healthcare, positive youth development, and active participation in community decisions. Joseph is in the second year of the Doctoral of Social Work program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work.
